Meet our dedicated team of experienced educators
I have been working with EduVision on our English programs since 2022, and in my time here I have helped to teach and write courses for our Y4-Y8 students. Interdisciplinary work has always been my focus: at the University of Sydney, I studied English, Studies of Religion, and Film Studies, which formed the basis for my Honours thesis. During my time at university and after, I worked as a private tutor, before commencing at EduVision. I thoroughly enjoy each and every class I teach at EduVision. In particular, I get great joy out of working with such talented and diligent students, and nurturing their love for English and the wider world of the humanities. Our curriculum allows for great freedom of expression and open dialogue with students, and I am proud of the good work our centre does in helping our students reach their full potential!
After graduating with a Primary Education degree in 2012, I moved to London and taught K–6 students, which was both brilliant and challenging. Upon returning to Australia, I completed a Master of Research and published a thesis in Education. I then taught undergraduate teachers at Macquarie University, but missed working directly with children, so I returned to primary schools. An opportunity then arose to teach incarcerated boys in juvenile justice, which was a personal interest of mine. Now, after many rewarding experiences, I tutor full-time and have loved being welcomed into the Eduvision team.
My teaching philosophy is shaped by sociological and cognitive research, particularly Bronfenbrenner’s ecological model, which reminds us that every child is shaped by layers of influence; effective teaching recognises the “whole child” and the world around them. My goal is to foster a welcoming learning environment, show genuine kindness, and hold high expectations for every learner.
